International Jury Motivation. A place of spirituality is not just a space, it is also a ritual, a relationship with the context and with people. In this sense, this chapel has transformed a small lawn into a place for meeting, commemorating and reflecting; thus becoming a symbolic place of the very identity of the Wirmboden community that conceived and built it. The small building manages to relate to the immensity of the surrounding landscape,  while its simple and humble interior defines a space characterized by an ethereal and  contemplative atmosphere. The use of construction techniques and local materials contribute greatly to integration with the context.
