International Jury Motivation. The complex plays an essential role in the regeneration of a delicate neighborhood located in the outskirts of central Rome. The lightness of the volumes well reconnects the urban pattern of the existing buildings through its volumetric interlocking of spaces. The jury commends the attention to sustainability of the stylish grey facades which make a sober background while mediating with the heavy infrastructure and the many new buildings that are being built in the surrounding areas.
