Motivation of the Jury. Architecture holds together the care and quality of the space. An example of transformation and regeneration, with respect for the existing, grafting the contemporary with respect, to give a new life to an abandoned and restricted military area, which reopens with a social destination. Attention to detail in interiors and open spaces. A good message for Venetian, Italian and international architecture: to respond to the new needs for a better future for our society, starting with the existing one. A low budget architecture.  The layout of the masterplan based on pre-existing structures is simple, at the same time the architectures enhanced over the years and allows a qualitative/ functional diversification of the individual spaces.
