International Jury Motivation. The building immersed in the vineyards enhances the historical features: first icebox of a noble villa, then ammunition depot during the Great War. It fits into the context steeped in history, recovering the existing, without sacrificing contemporary expressiveness. The expantion is recovered and incorporated, for a space for hospitality that tells an Italian DNA (synthesis of tradition and modernity) in dialogue with natural landscape.
