International Jury Motivation. The projects solves, using a brave and complete design, many of the environmental problems typical of the modern city: the presence of the Vinalpolò gorge, with its hydrogeological issues, separating the city in half; the relation between architecture, landscape and nature; the participation of local communities, to transform urban life through a public piece of work. “El Valle Trenzado” is also architectural design using new building technology to emphasize the form: thanks to the great design quality the material symbol of concretization becomes an exemple of landscape design and efficient problem solving.
